The energy generated from the solar module is directly streamed to the electrical grid and the excess energy is stored on the battery. The energy on this battery can be used at night or when a power outage occurs.
A Solar energy system can provide electricity 24 hours a day when the solar electric modules are combined with batteries in one integrated system
Indonesia is now developing solar energy sector. It is supported by the regulation issued by The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (KESDM) No. 49 / 2018 about “Penggunaan Sistem PLTS Atap oleh Konsumen PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN).”
Through these regulation, the government intends to open wider opportunities for all PLN consumers, whether the residential, business/commercial, or industrial sectors to participate in utilization and management of renewable energy to achieve resilience and energy independence, especially solar energy.
Net Metering is a system with the electricity generated by solar panels can be connected/delivered to the PLN grid, and can be re-used for the households electricity consumption.
